Management
Director
A Director heads the Academy. The Department of Industrial Economics and Strategy, Copenhagen Business School and the Department of Business Studies, Aalborg University appoints the director.
The Director co-ordinates the activities of the Academy in interaction with the Ph.D. supervisors and consider external applicants to the programme after consultation with the Committee and the heads of the Department of Industrial Economics and Strategy, Copenhagen Business School, or the Department of Business Studies, Aalborg University respectively.
The Director makes the necessary formal agreements regarding courses, seminars, workshops, etc. with the heads of the Department of Industrial Economics and Strategy, Copenhagen Business School, the Department of Business Studies, Aalborg University and the Ph.D. study board at Copenhagen Business School or the Faculty Board at Aalborg University respectively.
The Director negotiates and concludes agreements with potential sponsors on behalf of the Academy, and decides how funds obtained are allocated to accomplish the mission and objectives of the Academy.
Professor Peter Maskell is appointed director for the period 2005-2007.
Committee
The board of DRUID also function as the Committee of the Academy. The Committee appoints the director for a period of three years from among the professors of DRUID. The Committee can allocate funds to be used by the Academy to help it accomplish its mission. The Committee provide a forum for academic support and discussions of the Academy's activities and plans.

International scientific advisory board
In order to maintain a firm contact with the major research establishments within the field of the Academy, an international scientific advisory board has been set up. The task of the Board is to support the Director and the Committee in fulfilling the mission of the Academy by offering advise and supplying critical assessments of the activities and plans of the Academy, and by supporting Ph.D. students from the Academy when visiting the institutions of the Board members.
