Programme for DRUID's Conference on National Innovation Systems, Industrial Dynamics and Innovation Policy, Rebild, June 9-12, 1999
Last update: 9 June 99
Introductory note to the programme: Most of the conference papers are available in the two volumes of the Conference Proceedings. Some papers are distributed separately (including four papers that have been more or less misprinted in the Conference Proceedings). Nearly all the papers can also be downloaded. For personal reasons Bernard Guilhon and Bart Nooteboom will not be able to present their papers (included in the Conference Proceedings), so these papers have been removed from the conference programme.
The location of the individual conference activities:
Standard structure for a standard session of 1 1/2 hour:
- Plenary sessions: Large auditorium [LA]
- Parallel sessions 1: Small auditorium [SA]
- Parallel sessions 2: Conference Room F3
- Parallel sessions 3: Conference Room F2
- Conference secretariat: Conference Room G12. Opening hours include Thursday 10:30 - 13:00 and Friday 10:30 - 13:00
The session leaders might make deviations from this standard structure. However, it is obvious that it is not easy for the participants to shop around during the parallel sessions.
- Introductory remarks from the sesssion leader
- Presentation of three papers. For each paper there is 12-15 minutes for presentation
- Comments from discussants, about 10 minutes for each
- Comments from the audience, 10-15 minutes
- Replies from the authors, max. 5 minutes for each
Wednesday, 9 June
15:00 - 16:00 # Arrival and registration
- Most participants will arrive with a bus from the Aalborg University or Aalborg Airport, organised by DRUID. The bus leaves from Aalborg University, Fibigerstraede 2, at 13:30, from the airport at 14:30, and from the railway station at about 15:00. For others, see the page on the location of the conference site.
- When registrating at the conference hotel, you will get the conference proceedings, the final programme, etc.
- During the conference (but before 1 o'clock on Friday) all participants who have their travel expenses partly or fully covered by DRUID are requested to contact the DRUID conference secretariat in room G12. They have to make a preliminary statement of their expences. The opening hours of the secretariat include Thursday 10:30 - 13:00 and Friday 10:30 - 13:00. The final statement and the reimbursement will take place after the conference. Danish DRUID members without special travelling arrangements can ignore this request.
